Scuba Diving

Scuba Diving is the primary activity in Dahab, the number of dive centers to choose from is vast and all are happy to take people out from those on their very first dive to teaching you to professional level

Make sure the dive center you choose is NOT JUST BASED ON THE CHEAPEST PRICE, but on the quality of their equipment, available dive sites, quality of instruction and that they are approved! View the CDWS (Egypt’s Diving Governing body) approved list

Snorkel the Blue Hole with snorkeldahab.comSnorkelling around Dahab is easy to do, just rent your mask, snorkel and fins from any of the dive centers and jump in the sea. Local area’s are teaming with shallow coral full of sea life, make sure you bring a camera!

Turtles are often seen as well as of many other heart warming sea dwellers. Be careful not to touch the reef though!

SnorkelDahab.com offer a great value, safe, personal day out to places further afield like The Blue Hole and Ras Abu Galum

Red Sea Relax Resort rent out their kayak’s and pedalo at affordable rates throughout the day. Pedal around the bay and chill out, don’t go too far though or you may end up in Saudi Arabia!

Quad BikingQuad biking is a must, even for those faint of heart. You choose the pace. Don’t worry about opening the throttle up, but go for it if you want an adrenaline kick!

Ride into the mountains’ off road tracks, head into a wadi then stop for a cup of tea at a Bedouin shelter in the middle of the desert!

Desert excursions are run regularly to St Catherines Monastary / Mount Sinai, White and Coloured Canyon and Ras Abu Galum to name a few. For those wishing to head further afield; Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, Petra and Israel are all possible to visit. Many of the tour operators in town will happily sell you a tour for the day or 2, however due to the expense, travel distance and the amount to see and do at these places you would be best taking a few days

Freediving seems as popular if not more so than scuba diving in Dahab these days. Freedive Dahab are dedicated to the sport and are reputable. Many dive centers offer freediving too. Desert Divers’ highly experienced and record winning Stephan Keenan doubles up as both a scuba and freediving instructor and is delighted to take people out regardless of their experience

Dahab has many many restaurants to choose from to please your palette and your pocket! Most are along the front in Lighthouse & Masbat. Be sure to ask for a discount before you go in
